House and Garage Demolition Tips for Upper Sandusky, OH

House & Garage Demolition Tips

There are 3 ways to demolish a house or garage:

1. Use excavators and heavy machinery to tear it down.

This is the most common demolition method—simply tearing down the house or garage with the help of hydraulic excavators and other heavy machinery.

The debris is then hauled away to the nearest dump or recycling facility with the help of a dumpster or trailer.

2. Deconstruct it by hand piece-by-piece, top-to-bottom.

Deconstruction—or "demolition by hand"—is the process of stripping and deconstructing the house or garage piece by piece with the purpose of salvaging as much of the materials as possible, like doors, windows, beams, lumber, and more.

3. Deconstruct it in order to salvage what you can, then use machinery to tear down the rest.

The most environmentally-, time-, and budget-friendly option is a combination of deconstruction and mechanical demolition.

Once all materials capable of being saved and reused are collected, the remaining structure is then torn down and the non-salvageable debris is hauled away.
